What is YEM?
The Young Expert Mission is an international expertise project carried out by 10 students at the end of their engineering cycle at ISTOM. This expertise is planned and prepared for 16 months, under the tutoring of a teacher-researcher and the teaching team, then carried out in the field for 2 months. We have chosen to study the impact of global warming on populations.
The objective of this mission is to carry out an expertise project on behalf of an active sponsor in a developing country or region. The organization can be private or public (consultancy firm, research center, NGO, company, cooperative, community, etc.).
This expertise can be:
A market study, a project evaluation, an impact study, a study prior to the development of a product or a process, a diagnosis, a feasibility study.
Since 2010, 82 studies have been carried out on behalf of 68 different sponsors, including 31 NGOs, 23 companies / cooperatives, 7 communities and 5 research organizations.
